Morning and Evening Prayers

A Morning Prayer
Our highest Love,
You have appeared in me.
Remain in me.
Embrace me in Yourself.
Keep me in You so that I cannot bend from You.
Fill my hunger with Your love.
Feed my soul with heavenly being
And give it as drink the blood of my Redeemer Jesus Christ.
Let it drink from Your fountain. (Jacob Boehme).

An Evening Prayer
God, our Father,
At the end of this day
We perhaps think
Nothing very important
Has taken place in our hearts.

Remind us, Lord,
That each day
Begins your kingdom
And that, discreetly,
But tirelessly
You guide us toward your love,
Which we rediscover
As we say,
“Stay with us, Lord,
Through this day which is ending,
Through this night which is beginning,
Through tomorrow
And all eternity.”
Amen. (Pierre Grilot).
