Howth

Constituted / History: 7th Century Parish which was Chapter of St. Patrick's 1190- which continued at Old Abbey 1235. 1618 Kilkenny Synod grouped together 7 local parishes with one Prebend. Canon William Shergall, by Papal provision, was advanced to Prebend of Howth and Vicar Forane on the 24th March 1631 (he resided in Baldoyle)
